Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 27, 2026

Beyond Boundaries Without Measures NFP ("BBWM," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of visitors, donors, and program participants who engage with our website at bbwm.org (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information, including a dedicated Participant Privacy Notice for individuals enrolled in our training programs.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of personal information when you interact with our Site or programs:

  • Contact Information: your name, email address, and any message submitted through our contact form.
  • Participant Registration Data: name, contact information, zip code, age range, and class attendance, collected to operate the program and report to funders.
  • Donation Information: collected securely through PayPal when you make a contribution, including your name, billing information, and donation amount.
  • Newsletter Sign-ups: your name and email address when you subscribe to receive updates and announcements.
  • Post-Class Survey Responses: anonymous, voluntary feedback collected after training sessions to measure program effectiveness and participant outcomes.
  • Cookies and Analytics Data: usage data, browser type, and device information collected through cookies or analytics tools such as Google Analytics.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries and communicate with you.
  • To enroll and track participants in training programs and measure program outcomes.
  • To process donations securely via PayPal.
  • To send newsletters, program updates, and announcements to subscribers.
  • To compile aggregate, anonymous statistics for grant reporting and organizational improvement.
  • To comply with legal, financial, and tax reporting obligations.
  • To improve our website, outreach, and community programs.

3. Participant Privacy Notice

The following notice applies to individuals who register for BBWM training programs. A link to this section is provided on our registration form.

BBWM collects participant name, contact information, zip code, age range, and class attendance to operate the program and report to funders. We do not sell or rent participant data. Aggregate, anonymous numbers (for example, "73% of participants were over 50") may be shared with grantmakers. I can ask to see what BBWM has about me or request deletion at president@bbwm.org.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With funders and grantmakers: only as aggregate, anonymous statistics unless a specific grant requires individually identifiable information, in which case participant consent is obtained first.
  • With trusted third-party service providers: such as PayPal, QuickBooks, MailerLite, Jotform, Google Workspace, Zapier, and ClickSend, solely to operate our programs and communications.
  • When required by law: in response to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process.

5. Donor Privacy

We do not sell, trade, or publish donor personal information. Donor details are used solely for processing contributions, issuing tax receipts, and communicating directly with donors. Donation payments are processed securely through PayPal; BBWM does not store payment card details.

6. Data Retention

  • Donation records are retained for at least seven (7) years to meet legal and audit obligations.
  • Participant registration and survey data are retained for up to three (3) years, or longer when required for grant reporting, unless you request deletion.
  • Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. While we take appropriate precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To exercise these rights, email us at president@bbwm.org. We will verify your identity and respond within 30–45 days as required by applicable law.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, and Virginia, may have additional rights regarding their personal information. Contact us at president@bbwm.org to exercise these rights, and we will respond as required by law.

10. Cookies, Analytics, and Do Not Track

We use cookies and analytics tools such as Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve functionality. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies at any time. We currently do not respond to Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals.

11. Social Media and External Links

We maintain social media pages on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, LinkedIn, and YouTube. We do not post or share participant or volunteer data without explicit consent. Information shared on or through those platforms is subject to their respective privacy policies.

12. Photos, Videos, and Media Consent

BBWM may take photos or videos during training sessions or events for educational and promotional purposes. We obtain consent from participants before publishing any identifiable images or videos. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.

13. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Visitors)

For visitors from the European Union or United Kingdom, we process personal information based on the following legal grounds: consent (when you subscribe to newsletters or submit forms); legitimate interests (to operate and secure our website and services); legal obligation (to maintain donation records and meet tax requirements); and contractual necessity (to process program registrations or respond to your requests).

14. International Data Transfers

If you access our Site from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the U.S. We use appropriate safeguards when required to ensure data protection across borders.
